RYA Start Yachting Taster Weekend

Duration: 1 weekend. Maximum 4 students per course
Previous Experience Required: None
Course Overview: An introduction to sail cruising for novices

This course is aimed at the complete novice who would like to try sailing for the first time. We are aware that some of our students may be a little apprehensive, however we make every effort to overcome this in a calm and friendly manner. The weekend is aimed at having lots of fun as well as learning basic skills, and just having a good time.

You will be guided through the safety procedures by your instructor who will make sure you are comfortable and at ease aboard your yacht before you set sail. He  will show you all the basics and will be there to support you at every stage, but by the end of your first weekend aboard you will have accomplished so much. You will be able to steer a yacht, handle rope work, sail a basic course and be aware of safety onboard. You may find you're a natural and hooked for life.
